Alternative to the Affordable Healthcare Act

Washington, DC (WOLO) — Today the Trump Administration unveiled another alternative to The Affordable Health Care Act — allowing insurers to sell policies that last just under a year.

The proposed regulation would make it easier to get coverage through short term plans, which don’t have to abide by Affordable Healthcare Act consumer protections.

And while cheaper, the plans are allowed to exclude people with pre-existing conditions and set rates based on medical history.
