Midlands woman wins $200,000 after stop to gas up car

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands woman was filling up her car at the Circle K on Parklane Road when she filled up her wallet too, according to SC Lottery officials.

Officials say she scratched a lottery ticket at the gas pumps and won $200,000.

“It was just a normal day. I needed gas for my car, and I had an extra $5,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery.

She described her win as “disbelief”.

The winner shared she is saving the prize money for her kids education.

The odds of winning $200,000 in the Money, Money, Money game are 1 in 870,000. One top prize remains in the game.
