SC Department of Corrections Arrest Corrections Officer

Columbia, SC (WOLO)  — The South Carolina Department of corrections has arrested one of their own accused of accepting a bribe as a public official and misconduct in office while employed at the Allendale Correctional Institution.

Authorities say Joshua Ezekiel Cave was arrested this morning after a warrant obtained by ABC Columbia News says Cave introduced contraband into the detention center and accepted money from an inmate “for personal gain.

After further investigation, detectives say they were able to discover seven deposits from the inmate for more than 12 hundred dollars from September of 2017 until December of the same year.
