Shooting at Rock Hill motel captured on video

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Rock Hill police say they have found the suspect in a fatal motel shooting after a car ran a red light shortly after the slaying.

Authorities say the shooting of 27-year-old David Watts on Sunday morning was captured on surveillance video at the Rock Hill Motel.

A woman told police she heard arguing, then several minutes later heard a gunshot and opened her door to find Watts bleeding.

Authorities quickly broadcast a description of a car leaving the motel, and an officer stopped the vehicle after seeing it run a red light.

Police say 23-year-old Glen Brace was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held without bail and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.

Two others in the car were charged as accessories after murder.
