RCSD: Infant dies after being transported from local hotel

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies say around 7am Tuesday, investigators responded to an area hospital in reference to a deceased infant.

Officials say EMS transported the infant from the Days Inn on Bush River Rd. after someone called 911.

Richland Co. deputies say they are working with the coroner’s office to determine the cause of death.

The child’s identity was revealed as Jarod Norris, 7 months, of Columbia.
