Richland Co. Coroner identifies New York Avenue shooting victim

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting on Saturday.

Coroner Naida Rutherford says the victim is Jaqui L. Jones, 37, of Columbia, S.C.

According to Columbia Police, they responded to the shooting on New York Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m. and found Jones’ body.

This incident remains under investigation.
