Two teens shot at large bonfire gathering in Blythewood
BLYTHEWOOD, SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that occurred during a large gathering at a bonfire on Halloween night.
Around 10:45 p.m., deputies say they were dispatched to the 11,000 block of Wilson Blvd in reference to a shooting.
The shooting occurred at a bonfire being held where witnesses estimate over 500 people were in attendance.
When deputies arrived, two victims were located with gunshot wounds. Both victims had gunshot wounds to the upper body and both victims were juveniles. EMS arrived on scene and transported both victims to the hospital.
