Cost of saying “I Do” going up

(CNN)– Getting eloped might not be as romantic as having a traditional wedding, but it could help your wallet.

Over the past five-years, the price-tag on an average wedding has risen nearly 20% to $33,000, according to wedding marketplace “The Knot.”

And that upward trend is expected to continue in part because of the Trump Administration’s tariffs.

Roughly 20% of vendors say charges on non U.S. countries have caused their prices to go up for items including: dresses, rings, and even cake ingredients.
