Local Living: SCSO’s Stuff-a-Cruiser, Winter Sparkfest Shines Bright, Santa Paws Is Coming To Town, Riverbanks Zoo’s Wild Lights
LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, you can help stuff a cruiser for children in Sumter this holiday season.
Just drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office during business hours or BJ’s Wholesale Club from December 19 through December 21.
The sheriff’s office is located on North Main Street and BJ’s is located on Alice Drive.
The Winter Sparkfest Shines Bright charity event is this weekend.
The fundraiser is hosted by 14-year-old CEO Jaiden Bostic and will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday on Old Clemson Road
For $5 you can enjoy live music, food vendors, and appearances from community leaders and youth organizations.
All the money raised will go to local charities.
This year’s goal $5,000.
If you’re looking to adopt a furry four legged friend this Christmas, Columbia Animal Services is the place for you.
They are holding their Santa Paws Is Coming To Town event through the whole month of December where adoptions fees for all pets are just $25.
Just visit the shelter on Humane Lane.
Riverbanks Zoo’s Wild Lights continues from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight (Monday, Dec. 15).
You can enjoy 60 larger-than-life handcrafted wildlife lantern displays, photos with Santa, and much more.
If you can’t make it tonight, the display goes through January 11.
