SC Air Guard celebrates its cultural diversity

McENTIRE JOINT NATIONAL GUARD BASE, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s Air National Guard is celebrating the diversity of its personnel with a food tasting and cultural display.

Guard spokesman Maj. James Roth says Saturday’s event is the first-ever “Taste of McEntire.”

Roth says members of the 169th Fighter Wing with Asian-Pacific, Hispanic-American, African-American and European-American descent are offering food samples connected to their heritage. He says there will also be music, dancing and displays.

The event will take place in the base canteen.
