COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — UPDATE: An All Clear was issued around 3:10 p.m. after an initial alert. “The public safety incident at 541 Main St on the Columbia campus has been resolved. All roads have been reopened.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
Around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, a Carolina Alert for the University of South Carolina was sent out to all faculty and students.
The alert reads, “Carolina Alert: Public safety incident at 541 Main St on the Columbia campus. Main St from Blossom St to Wheat St is closed. Avoid the area and obey officials.”
The address matches the Horizon I Building.
