Officers investigating “unaccompanied death” on Assembly Street

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, officers are investigating an unaccompanied death of a man at the 1900 block of Assembly Street.

They were dispatched around 4 p.m. on Sunday when a passerby made the discovery.

At this time, officers say the death does not appear to be suspicious — however the RC Coroner’s Office is investigating.
