Budget week at SC State House

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– It is budget week for state lawmakers.

According to the South Carolina Policy Council, budget debate started in the house Monday, March 9, 2026, with the process expected to last all week and possibly into next week.

At the same time the Senate will also hold budget hearings this week.

The general appropriations bill includes more than $15 billion in state funding.
