German southeastern counsel general speaks in SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The German counsel general to the southeastern United States is speaking in South Carolina.

Lutz Hermann Goergens speaks Thursday evening at The Citadel. He was invited to speak by the military college’s Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures.

He is the official representative of the German government to the Carolinas, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.
