North Charleston city starts 20th community center
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — North Charleston is breaking ground on another community center.
The groundbreaking is set for Thursday for what will be the 20th community center in the city.
The new center will serve residents along upper Dorchester Road. It will be used for neighborhood association meetings, afterschool programs, activities for seniors and as a summer camp site.
North Charleston is the state’s third-largest city with almost 98,000 residents.
