Lexington county deputies investigate deadly shooting

West Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) — Lexington county detectives are following leads they have developed in a deadly shooting investigation.

They have been in the area of Hammond Avenue in West Columbia since early this morning.

First responders were called there after a person who was bleeding started knocking on doors asking for help.

The person was eventually transported and died at the hospital.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident between two people who knew each other or had some previous connection.

The Lexington Co. Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Charles Moore, 54.
