State Rep. Jermaine Johnson files to enter SC governor’s race

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– State Rep. Jermaine Johnson has officially put his hat in the ring for the governor’s race.

Johnson made the official announcement about filing on Facebook on Monday, March 23, 2026.

He says his campaign is not about the political power structure or multi-millionaire power brokers.

“This is a grassroots movement and we need you,” says Johnson.

The post also went on to say he can not wait to meet people on the campaign trail.
