State transportation officials set to update plans to focus on roadway safety

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– State transportation officials are set to update plans to focus on roadway safety across South Carolina.

Officials with the SC Department of Transportation say they along with law enforcement and South Carolina Highway Patrol will outline a coordinated strategy to further reduce serious injuries and deaths on the roads.

The press conference will take place this Friday at 10 a.m. and ABC Columbia News will bring you updates.
