Columbia PD investigating after 65-year-old man shot, pronounced dead at hospital
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified a 65-year-old man who was shot dead Wednesday night.

Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the victim as Perry B. Buchanan, 65, of Columbia.
According to Columbia Police, around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a shooting at Gable Oaks Apartments, 900 Colleton St., and found Buchanan shot.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced as dead from his injuries.
Law enforcement say evidence collected at the scene will be processed to aid the case.
