House overrides Gov. McMaster’s NIL bill veto
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– House lawmakers voted to override Governor Henry McMaster’s veto of a bill that would shield college athlete revenue-sharing agreements from public record requests.
The House voted 88 to 22 Wednesday to override it.
In his veto message the governor said the bill goes too far in its efforts to conceal contracts.
It now heads to the Senate for a vote.
