Lower Richland High School celebrates 100th birthday with art

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lower Richland High School is celebrating its 100th birthday this year.

To mark the 2026 milestone, Monday morning (March 30, 2026) the school’s artist-in-residence worked with students to create portrait art with sidewalk chalk.

Students applied these skills across various locations on campus transforming sidewalks into meaningful works of art.

Lower Richland High School will continue the 100th anniversary celebration with a concert and parade in May.
