Pedestrian fatally struck in collision in Fairfield County Monday

FAIRFIELD CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision Monday night.

According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, it happened on Longtown Road at 10:50 p.m., when a 2015 Dodge Challenger struck the pedestrian who was in the roadway.

The driver was not hurt.

The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet.

Troopers are investigating this collision.
