1 killed after collision in Ridgeway

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)–SC troopers with the Highway Patrol say one person was killed after being hit by a car Monday night.

Officials say it happened on Longtown Road in Ridgeway.

According to the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office 50-year-old Cornelius Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the car stopped and called 911 and waited on law enforcement and EMS to arrive at the scene.
