Lee Correctional officer arrested for relationship with inmate

LEE CO., S.C. (WOLO)  – The SC Department of Corrections arrested a Lee Correctional officer for a romantic relationship with an inmate.

Brittney Larhonda Hickman, 34, of Camden, was charged with misconduct in office.

According to investigators, between January 22, 2024 and August 21, 2025, Hickmon was involved in a romantic relationship with an inmate and communicating with him on an
illegal cellphone, which she failed to report.

Officials say she was fired.
