Powerball to expand to U.K.

(CNN)– The Powerball Lottery game is expanding to the United Kingdom this Summer.

The Multi-State Lottery Association and the operator for the U.K. National Lottery announced the historic agreement Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

According to the new partnership, the number of lottery pool funds for Powerball will increase from 48 U.S. lotteries to 49.

With U.K. players now joining the game, jackpots are expected to grow faster due to adding another population base buying tickets.

Officials say the deal will also strengthen the long-term sustainability of the game.

Tickets for the Powerball game will remain at $2 each and odds to win stay the same.
