South Carolina’s workforce continues to grow

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina’s workforce continues to grow.

According to the SC Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW) in February, the state added more than 8,000 workers bringing the state’s total to more than 2.5 million.

However, officials add that the state’s unemployment rate rose to 5%, but officials attribute that to the overall growth of the labor force.
