Open Ai, Microsoft reach deal

(CNN)– Open Ai and Microsoft announced some key changes to their partnership that will give Open Ai new freedoms.

Microsoft has been a partner and investor of Open Ai since 2019.

It’s had control over open Ai’s intellectual property, and exclusive deals to license the start-up’s products.

That relationship became strained last year as the Ai race gained speed and Open Ai faced increased competition in the field leading the two companies to amend their earlier agreement.

Open Ai now has more freedom to partner with Microsoft’s competitors.
