Costco changes famous hot dog deal

(CNN)– Costco is changing its famous $1.50 hot dog deal.

But before you panic, it’s good news.

The Costco quarter-pound all-beef hot dog and 20-ounce refillable soda deal is considered by many to be the most reliable bargain in retail.

The $1.50 price tag hasn’t changed in 40 years.

The new change you can get a bottle of water instead of the soda for the same price.

Some shoppers welcomed the new option while others insist the refillable soda is still the better value.
