Traffic lanes reopen after wreck in Lexington

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — Lexington Police say traffic lanes were reopened after a wreck on Columbia Avenue/US-378 at Reed Avenue caused outbound lanes to be blocked.

West Butler Street remained closed due to debris that was in the roadway.

Police say the wreck was caused by a driver who disregarded the red light due to the sun being in her eyes.

During the wreck, a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department vehicle was hit.
