SC joins national effort to make sure every child has a home

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina is joining a national effort to make sure every child has a home.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Governor Henry McMaster announced the state is joining a nationwide program called ‘A Home For Every Child’.

Officials say for every 100 children in foster care there are 57 licensed foster families.

The program aims to improve that ratio.
