Pedestrian struck & killed on Citadel Road in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was fatally struck Monday night.
It happened on Citadel Road near Regional Parkway around 11:15 p.m.
According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, the pedestrian was walking west on the roadway, when they were struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.
The pedestrian died on the scene from their injuries.
The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet.
Highway Patrol is investigating.
