Target reports best sales in years

(CNN)– Target says shoppers are finally coming back.

Weds, May 20, the retailer reported its strongest quarterly sales growth in four years with comparable sales up more than five-and-a-half percent.

Company leaders say gains came across income levels and product categories including non-essentials like toys and beauty products.

Target has spent the past year trying to win back customers with refreshed stores, new product lines, and popular brand collaborations.

The retailer also raised its full-year sales outlook.
