SC Senators return to State House Tuesday for redistricting debate
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Happening Tuesday at the State House: South Carolina senators are set to continues debate on congressional redistricting.
Over the holiday weekend, lawmakers spent much of Saturday going through amendments and debating the bill.
Proponents narrowly passed a measure to speed up debate, limiting each senator to one hour of speaking time.
However, opponents of the bill say the fight is far from over, with lead democrats hopeful that more republicans will vote against the bill.
