Section of Highway 178 closed due to flooding in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Orangeburg County Fire District says a section of Highway 178 is closed due to flooding Tuesday night.

According to officials, North Rd. (US Hwy. 178) at Nance’s Pond between Waters Ferry Rd. and Hwy. 692 (Redmond Mill Rd.) is shut down, with no time frame on re-opening.

Firefighters also said they were working a wreck in that area.

They advise you to find an alternate route until the road re-opens.
