ABC Columbia celebrates America 250 with special series

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – ABC Columbia is celebrating America 250 with a special series airing Thursdays.

Starting May 28, 2026, Anchor Kelly Coakley takes viewers across the state to share South Carolina stories that are part of America’s collective story.

From a baseball bat company in the Upstate and a Lexington County Rookie Ball team, to a flag manufacturer connected to some of America’s most important moments, to a Midlands girl hoping to contribute ideas for a national monument, you’ll meet some amazing South Carolinians and see how their resilience, hard work and love for the country represent the very best of what America is known for.
