America 250: Heathwood Hall student to share her ideas on adding to America’s story on the National Mall
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – As we celebrate the 250th signing of the Declaration of Independence, there are many people throughout America’s history who have helped define and shape the country.
In towns from coast to coast, there are statues and monuments dedicated to their contributions, including on the National Mall. From presidents to civil rights leaders, to those killed in wars involving the U.S., the National Mall tells important parts of America’s story.
However, one part of that story isn’t there. Ann Marshall Lovelace, a rising fifth-grade student at Heathwood Hall, is answering a call to help change that.
Join Kelly Coakley this Thursday, June 4, for ABC Columbia News at 5, 6, and 11, and you can watch her next America 250 story to learn how Ann Marshall is part of a larger effort making sure America’s story on the National Mall is complete.
