Local Living: Friday night laser lights, Toucan Tuesdays initiative, The Golden Pencil Hunt, special boat scavenger hunt

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Friday night laser lights are back at the state museum.

The next show is July 17 and will feature music from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

In addition to the laser light shows guests will also be able to enjoy delicious food for purchase from a local food truck.

 

You can help feed those in need by taking part in Riverbanks Zoo and Harvest Hopes’ Toucan Tuesdays initiative.

Guests who donate two non-perishable food items will receive buy-one-get-one admission tickets and buy-one-get-one regular sized Icees.

Toucan Tuesdays take place every Tuesday through August 11.

 

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a brand new back-to-school adventure called The Golden Pencil Hunt.

Beginning Friday, July 24 a golden pencil will be hidden somewhere on publicly accessible property in Fairfield County, and each morning, a new clue will be posted on the sheriff’s office facebook page.

The winner will receive a grand prize.

 

You can take part in a special boat scavenger hunt on Lake Murray, Saturday, July 25.

Check-in starts at 1 p.m. at Martin’s Marina.

It’s all to raise funds for pledge the pink’s fight against breast cancer.

Registration is $50 per boat.
