Deputies: Child severely injured by dog

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say a child is recovering after suffering severe injuries from a dog bite Thursday.
According to an incident report, deputies responded to a home in Eastover Thursday.
Deputies say witnesses told them a large group of people were in the back yard of the home when the child was attacked after getting close to a chained up pit bull.
Deputies say the child was transported to McEntire Air Force Base for treatment.
The dog was picked up by Richland County Animal Control.
