ABC Columbia-WOLO TV is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the News, Production, Engineering and IT structure at ABC Columbia’s Cushman Headquarters.

This senior role encompasses numerous departments

The successful candidate will manage day to day operations, technical operations, physical plant and station needs; all to support the news, broadcast and digital operations of WOLO TV ABC Columbia News.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Department Management
This position requires the ability to work on demand, to meet deadlines and needs of the operational structure of both Engineering and Broadcast IT.

Must be familiar with equipment needs including studio equipment, news gear, such as Sony, video servers, routers, IFB systems and wireless gear. The candidate must be knowledgeable in news field gear maintenance and repair, as well as upkeep and troubleshooting of all station needs in terms of gear, equipment, digital fiber and more.

Other Duties: manage outside and inside maintenance of physical plant.

Prefer minimum 5-7 years’ television news production management, engineering, IT experience. Available to work weekends, nights, holidays and irregular hours. Degree in Journalism or Communications preferred.
