Update – Officer Dymock released from hospital following Saturday shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, Officer David Dymock has been released from the hospital after he and fellow Officer Chris DeLong were involved in a shooting with a suspect Saturday morning.

Officer DeLong later passed away from his injuries.

In a post on social media, CPD asks that the community continues to keep Officer Dymock and his family in their prayers. “The road to recovery continues, and we know the support surrounding him will mean so much in the days ahead,” reads the post.
