Two arrests in Food Lion shooting in Five Points Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police have arrested two men for a shooting at the Food Lion in Five Points Saturday night.

Carmelo Kirkland & Eric Velazquez face several charges in connection with the shooting at the Food Lion parking lot on 1001 Harden St.

According to investigators, they found a large crowd where three people were shot, along with multiple vehicles and property that were damaged from gunfire.

The victims were taken to the hospital.

Police say additional arrests and charges are expected.
