SCDOT to implement new traffic pattern at US 21 bridge over Congaree Creek

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT will install a new traffic pattern for the US 21 bridge over Congaree Creek on Thursday, September 10.

The two northbound US 21 lanes will shift onto the newly built bridge while the single southbound lane will remain in its current configuration, says SCDOT.

The bridge construction is expected to be completed in late 2027.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and to drive cautiously through the work zone.
