Amazon sued for pregnancy discrimination

(CNN)– Amazon is facing a class-action lawsuit after being accused of discriminating against pregnant workers.

The online retailer is accused of failing to make basic workplace accommodations for pregnant employees.

Things like penalizing them for taking breaks to pump milk or taking time off for doctor’s visits.

A group of former Amazon warehouse employees filed the lawsuit in a New York federal court on Tuesday.

In a statement, Amazon denied the accusations saying the lawsuit’s description of events is inaccurate.
