McMaster sworn-in during 97th Gubernatorial inauguration
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Gov. Henry McMaster will be inaugurated today at the State House in the 97th inaugural event, starting at 11 a.m.
The 2019 South Carolina Inaugural Committee released the list below of scheduled events today.
- 9 a.m. – Inaugural Prayer Service at First Presbyterian Church on 1342 Marion St. (Open to public)
- 11 a.m. – Inaugural Ceremony at State House, South Steps (Open to public)
- 2 to 4 p.m. – First Family Open House at Governor’s Mansion on 800 Richland St. (Open to public)
- 7:30 to 11 p.m. – Inaugural Ball Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on 1101 Lincoln St. (Ticket holders only)
Governor McMaster, 71, will be the oldest South Carolina Governor since the Revolutionary War and the inauguration marks McMaster’s first full term in the position.
Ohio native Pamela Evette was sworn-in as the state’s Lieutenant Governor.
