SC candidates making final push across state as election day nears

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– As early voting continues through Saturday, October 31, the state Election Commission reports that over 670,000 South Carolinians have already cast their ballots.

With election day next Tuesday, November 3, candidates are making their final push across the state including candidate for governor Representative Jermaine Johnson.

Wednesday afternoon, October 28, the democratic nominee continued his “Get Out The Vote” tour by stopping by Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia.

Serving as a waiter, Johnson divvied out meals, and met with voters to discuss his plans for the state’s future including making data centers cover their own costs, expanding medicaid, and opening pre-k to every child.

According to a campaign official, republican candidate for governor, Attorney General Alan Wilson, is meeting with voters in Beaufort Wednesday and will continue the final days of his tour in the Midlands on Friday (October 30) and Monday (November 2).
