Clemson P Zimmerman listed as probable for weekend

CLEMSON, S.C (AP) — Punter Dawson Zimmerman is expected to play when 13th-ranked Clemson faces No. 11 Virginia Tech.

The team listed Zimmerman as probable Thursday.

Zimmerman left last week’s game against Florida State with a knee injury when defensive back Lamarcus Joyner ran into him while his leg was extended. Zimmerman did not play in the second half of Clemson’s 35-30 victory.

Zimmerman didn’t practice early in the week as part of his recovery. He is third among Atlantic Coast Conference punters at 43 yards a kick.

Starting receiver DeAndre Hopkins and backup running back D.J. Howard are also listed as probable for the game against the Hokies.
