Three Tigers Earn ACC Weekly Honors

Three Clemson football earned ACC weekly honors Monday for their standout performances in a 16-6 win against Syracuse over the weekend. Linebacker Stephone Anthony is the ACC co-linebacker of the week. The senior had a sack, caused a fumble and made an interception to go with 7 tackles on the game. Anthony was also named Monday one of 15 national semifinalists for the Butkus Award. Placekicker Ammon Lakip earned ACC specialist of the week honors. The junior was a perfect 3-3 in field goals with a long of 41. He scored 10 of Clemson’s 16 points in the game. Running back Wayne Gallman is the ACC rookie of the week. The freshman became the first Tiger to run for at least 100 yards in a game this season. Gallman had 28 carries for 101 yards on the ground along with 2 catches for 12 yards.
