Columbia Fire Crews find body inside burned house

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– City of Columbia Fire crews are on the scene of a house fire near the 500 block of Dogwood Street. Fire crews responded to the fire around 5:30am. Crews discovered a body inside the house after they got the fire under control and gained entry. The Coroner’s office has been contacted and is now investigating. At this time, investigators do not know the cause of the fire.
