Roland Gets All-American Jersey

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — Lexington’s Shaq Roland is more than just pretty good. HIs high school coach says he’s the best he’s ever seen. Tuesday, Roland received an honorary jersey for the Under Armour All-America game. Roland is one of 90 players selected to compete in the fifth-annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country‘s top high school seniors. The 2012 Under Armour All-America Game is slated for Jan. 5, 2012, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN. Roland is currently ranked No. 46 overall in the ESPNU Top 150 and eighth at his position, and will be attending South Carolina next year. Lexington head football coach Scott Early says the Gamecock commit will be a good player for South Carolina and will play on Sundays in the NFL.
