House Committee meets to Discuss SC State University Future

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– A House Ways and Means Committee is meeting Tuesday afternoon to discuss the status of South Carolina State University. Last week in a committee meeting a proposal to shut down the University due to its’ financial problems was discussed. Lawmakers are discussing the Proviso, as students and supporters of SC State pack the meeting room.
